The concept behind Li Yuan Restaurant was to associate it with the name "Li Yuan," which means "beautiful flowers" in Chinese. Kris Lin took this inspiration and designed the logo in the shape of a flower, setting the tone for the entire space.
Spanning an impressive 18,000 square feet, Li Yuan Restaurant is located in Xiamen, China. The design team, led by Kris Lin and Jiayu Yang, carefully crafted every detail to create a space that seamlessly blends form and function.
The main dining area is connected by a tunnel, with one side housing the main dining area and the other side featuring distinguished private dining boxes. The flexibility of these boxes allows them to be used separately or merged together, offering a versatile dining experience.
Throughout the restaurant, the theme of flowers is incorporated in various ways. From cool frosted glass carvings to real rice paper paintings hanging on the walls, the essence of Chinese culture is beautifully showcased. These design elements not only add visual interest but also evoke a sense of elegance and tranquility.
The realization of the design involved the use of materials such as oak, Burdur Beige stone, cranberry glass, metallic paint, champion tiles, and stainless steel. The combination of these materials adds depth and texture to the space, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
Li Yuan Restaurant opened its doors to the public in March 2011, following the completion of the project in January 2011. Since then, it has garnered recognition and acclaim, including the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2013. This award is a testament to the exceptional creativity, innovation, and expertise demonstrated in the design.
Li Yuan Restaurant is not just a place to dine; it is an immersive experience that celebrates the beauty of flowers and Chinese culture. Kris Lin and his team have successfully created a space that captivates guests and leaves a lasting impression.
