The Golden West Bay Tower is more than just an office tower. Its design is a pure geometrical scenario tailored by a clear physical language. The diagonal cut of one pure rectangle and the sliding of the parts resulted in a striking, modern three-dimensional image. The two sliding parts challenge gravity and embrace one another through a joint, creating a structure that stands out from the rest.

The tower's design is not just about aesthetics. It also symbolizes power. The elegant and monumental silhouette of the building is seen to celebrate the strength of monolithic symmetrical sculptures. The conceptual massing reflects the sliding idea of volumes with a central vertical and structural core.

Constructed between July 2006 and January 2008, the Golden West Bay Tower spans an area of 25,342 sqm and stands 72 m tall with 16 floors. The structural material used is a combination of concrete and steel, further enhancing its robust and powerful image.

The tower's design has been recognized globally. In 2012, it won the “Best Office Architecture in Qatar” Award at the Arabian Property Awards. A year later, it was awarded the Platinum A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award. This award recognizes world-class, exceptional, and highly innovative designs that showcase unmatched professionalism, genius, and contribute to societal wellbeing.
