Revolutionizing Traditional Shisha with Meduse Pipes

Jakub Lanca's Award-Winning Design Elevates the Smoking Experience

The Meduse Pipes are not just a smoking apparatus, but a work of art. The design is inspired by the elegant organic lines of underwater sea life, transforming the shisha pipe into a mysterious creature that comes alive with every inhalation. The aim of the design, as explained by Lanca, was to uncover the fascinating processes that take place in the pipe such as bubbling, smoke flow, and the play of lights. This was achieved by maximizing the glass proportion and uplifting the functional area to eye level, a stark contrast to traditional shisha pipes where these features are almost hidden at ground level.

What sets Meduse Pipes apart is the use of real fruit pieces inside the glass corpus for cocktails, a feature that has never been done before. This not only enhances the visual experience but also significantly affects the final taste, with some cocktails dynamically changing their taste during the smoking session. The unique experience is further supported by lights that react to audio signals, creating a mesmerizing display of illumination.

Meduse Pipes are made with a combination of traditional handicraft techniques such as art smithery and hand glassblowing, and modern methods and technologies. This handmade production gives each piece a stamp of originality and exclusivity, further supported by a unique production number and certificate. The design also includes a variety of innovative functional parts and accessories, making it a versatile piece for both personal use and B2B service.

The design was realized using Bohemian handmade glass, art blacksmithing, laser cutting, and wire construction. Only noble, durable, and health-friendly materials are used in the production. The design also includes a special system of upper and lower stainless steel filters for the placement of tobacco and charcoal, a healthier and easier alternative to using tin foil.

Meduse Pipes are a testament to Lanca's innovative approach to design, pushing the boundaries of traditional concepts and offering a new level of luxury and sophistication to the smoking experience.
