Upsizing the Impact: The Post-it Big Pads Media Kit

Love big, think big, create big was the theme for the campaign. The main motive was to awe people with an unexpected huge kit that had to be customized and not off the shelf. The idea had to be big, and the box was simply not enough to fascinate. The giant cookie was the hero; it had to complement the huge big pads to create the impact.

For the launch of the Post-it® Big Pads, there had to be a wow idea that sticks in the head. The idea of "UPSIZED" was the theme here. A huge pizza box was conceptualized to fit the huge big pads as well as the informative panels, goodies, and sample packs. To add on to the big idea, a huge cookie was baked to add that tinge of sweetness to the entire pack. The cookie is baked fresh and packed in the box. The pack was distributed to the media, bloggers as well as the distributors.

There is a lot of handwork for this kit, a custom 16" x 16" pizza box was produced, together with stickers for the cover, a pink felt for the insides, a big fact sheet printed and mounted on kappa line boards, giant cookie, huge chocolate and strawberry sticks, and sweets were assembled all in the box.

The huge box is delivered by hand to the media and bloggers. When they open the box, the huge cookie will be revealed. There is a small postcard stuck on the pink felt wrap that introduces the contents in the box. After unwrapping the felt, a huge card with the press release is featured where scenarios of the Post-it Big Pads usage are written. The goodies in the box feature the Big pads together with Post-it notes, tabs, sample packs, giant chocolate/strawberry sticks, and heart-shaped jellies.

The project started in October 2013 and finished in January 2014 and distributed in January 2014 onwards. The most challenging part was finding items that fit into the upsized idea. And to produce a huge pizza box has its limitations. The giant cookie was not easy to find. And to make sure it stays in peak condition, it had to be baked fresh.

The idea had to be of epic proportions in order for the Post-it Big Pad to have an impact on its audience. Everything in it had to be upsized to convey the message of think big, create big, and love big! The idea of a customized 16" x 16" pizza box, together with a huge chocolate chip cookie was conceptualized. The pack contains two pads of Post-it Big Pads, sampling packs, Post-it Super Sticky Die-cut Notes, tabs, giant chocolate/strawberry sticks, heart-shaped jellies. To package everything nicely, a pink felt cloth was used to wrap the items, giving it a more premium feel.

This Design was awarded Iron in A' Advertising, Marketing and Communication Design Award in 2015.
