The P House is located in Morumbi, a residential neighborhood in Sao Paulo. The site offers a panoramic view of the city, with gardened houses, the Pinheiros River, and the city's corporate area with its typical skyscrapers. This strategic location adds to the house's appeal, offering residents a serene environment amidst the bustling city.
The house boasts a three-floor program, including a garden, a terrace with a fireplace and barbecue, a home theater, dining and living rooms, a washroom, a kitchen, four bedrooms, an office, and a family room. The circulation nucleus, a continuous staircase joined in a structural wall, is the pivot around which the boxes revolve. This unique design approach ensures constant and distinct relations between the inner and outer spaces.
The P House is a marvel of modern construction technology. All the boxes are bare concrete frames, with the living room and bedrooms enclosed by freijo wooden folding panels. These panels not only filter the light but also allow for permanent crossed ventilation. The family room, located on the top floor, is enclosed by glass to preserve the view.
The P House's unique design and architectural excellence have earned it the prestigious Golden A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award in 2015. This award is a testament to the house's marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting design that reflects the designer's prodigy and wisdom. It is indeed a venerated product and a bright idea that advances art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with its desirable characteristics.
In conclusion, the P House by Marcio Kogan & studiomk27 is a masterpiece of modern architecture and design. Its unique spatial dynamic, innovative design approach, and strategic location make it a perfect blend of form and function. It is a testament to the designers' creativity and architectural prowess, setting a new benchmark in residential house design.
