Sutra, the restaurant and pub, stands out with its informal and culturally integrated ambiance. Divided into two parts - outdoor and indoor - the design pays homage to a typical Indian home courtyard with a central focus on a tree and seating all around. Indoors, the main attractions are the large bar counter and the live performance stage, which features a backdrop of a large gramophone record player. The indoor area is designed to create an interactive and informal space for guests to enjoy.
What sets Sutra apart from other designs is its use of raw finishes and materials. Bricks, fly-ash blocks, natural wood, and mild steel tubes and sections are all showcased in their natural colors, giving the space a rustic and authentic feel.
This project, undertaken by Nexus design Integrated Pvt. Limited, began in February 2014 and was completed in May 2014. Located in the business district of Cybercity, DLF Phase 5, Gurgaon, Haryana, India, Sutra has become a popular destination for those seeking a unique and culturally rich dining and entertainment experience.
Sutra's design has been recognized with the prestigious A' Design Award in 2015. This award acknowledges the design's practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements. The design's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics contribute to a better world and provide fulfillment and positive feelings to its visitors.
