Edvardas Kavarskas Designs an Organic Vodka Bottle Inspired by Lithuanian Flax

The design's unique properties lie in its subtle yet eye-catching elements. The pattern on the bottle neck, reminiscent of mature flax, and the linen filter symbol are the main design elements. The label's paper, the subtle foil decor, and the embossed details evoke sensations of touch, adding a tactile dimension to the visual appeal. The natural blue colour of the flax blossom, a distinctly Lithuanian plant, serves as the primary inspiration for the design.

Edvardas Kavarskas and his team employed various materials and techniques to realize this design. Glass, wood, unique paper, cold foil, silkscreen printing, and embossing were used to create the final product. The design's specifications are Width 99 x Depth 66 x Height 233.

The product was created for consumers who seek high quality and aesthetical design. It is intended to be an item of choice for people to bring to their friends' houses or send to their beloved ones as a gift from Lithuania. The product appeared on the shelves of Lithuanian retail stores at the end of 2013.

Research shows that the demand for organic alcoholic products is rapidly increasing worldwide. However, this market niche was still vacant in Lithuania. Recognizing this gap, the team decided to offer organic vodka to Lithuanian consumers. The use of linen as a filtering material adds a cultural significance to the product.

The design was awarded Golden in A' Packaging Design Award in 2015.
