Changbai Mountain Sales Office: A Testament to Nature and Design

Basic Concept (Perceptron Design Group) Merges Architecture and Nature in Award-Winning Design

The Changbai Mountain Sales Office, located in Jinlin Province, China, is a three-story building spanning 5000 square meters. It serves as a real estate sales office, logistics hub, and more. The design project, which started in February 2014 and was completed in December 2014, was inspired by the designers' emphasis on environmental protection and the integration of architecture and nature.

The design's unique properties lie in its simplicity and authenticity. The designers refrained from excessive decoration, instead focusing on preserving the vitality of the original wood. The visible grain of the real wood material used is reminiscent of historical sedimentation, adding a natural temperament to the space. The wooden beam structure or original timber splicing method was adopted for ceilings and walls, releasing the tension of lines and planes.

The lobby's south-facing side features a glass curtain wall, allowing sunlight to flood the space unobstructed. The layered mountains outside the window provide a close connection to nature. The lobby chandelier, a small model of the universe, is a testament to the designers' belief in showcasing the most pristine and pure elements of life.

The design's realization technology is evident in the architectural design. The exterior wall features a large area of glass curtain wall, enabling those indoors to feel the outdoor natural atmosphere. The introduction of outdoor elements such as local natural wood and rough gravel into the indoor space enhances this connection with nature. The wildness style furnishings and light medium forms further contribute to the overall natural feel of the space.

Despite the challenges in material selection due to unpredictable natural lines and local temperature differences, the designers managed to create a space that is not only functional but also in harmony with its natural surroundings. The design's interaction with its geographical environment resource is a significant outdoor landscape advantage, making it an ideal location for the sales of high-end holiday houses.

After extensive research and careful material selection, the Changbai Mountain Sales Office was completed to the satisfaction of both the owner and customers.
