The mansion, designed for two residents, is a testament to thoughtful space utilization. The design concept revolves around introducing the essence of woods and greens into the interior space, slowing down the pace of city life and immersing the residents in an atmosphere of relaxation. The design evokes an image of dancing through leaf carpets in a sun-drenched field, a soothing scene that contrasts with the typical urban landscape.
What sets the Urban Nature Mansion apart is its half-open design, which allows maximum sunlight to permeate the space while preserving privacy. The design creates a partly hidden and partly visible view in every space, leading the residents to see their home from many different perspectives. This approach delivers a new concept of living by altering the passage through the house, encouraging the residents to discover new angles of their home every day.
The mansion was realized using a variety of materials, including teak, walnut, black iron, stoving varnishing, and quartz tiles. The layout, more akin to a liver shape than a traditional square or rectangle, posed a challenge but also added an element of interest to the floor plan. The design divides the space into three main domains, creating a rhythm in each region that fosters a relaxing feeling as the interior routes connect each other.
The project, which started in November 2012 and was completed in March 2013, was not without its challenges. The movements in the house are like dancing curves, neglecting the memorized routes. The designer leads the clients to see their home in many different perspectives and provides little surprises and joy in every corner. This approach delivers a new concept of living by altering the passage through the house, encouraging the residents to discover new angles of their home every day.
The Urban Nature Mansion has received prestigious recognition for its innovative design. It was awarded the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2016, a testament to its outstanding and trendsetting creation that reflects the designer's prodigy and wisdom. The design embodies extraordinary excellence and significantly impacts the world with its desirable characteristics.
