Atossa 3D Printed Footwear

Revolutionizing Footwear Design with 3D Printing

Atossa 3D Printed Footwear is a groundbreaking project by designer Seyed Behrad Ghodsi that aims to redefine the way we manufacture and consume footwear. By harnessing the power of 3D printing technology, Ghodsi has created a range of stylish and customizable footwear designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally friendly.

Ghodsi's inspiration for this project came from the desire to utilize 3D printers as a final production method, rather than just for prototyping. By doing so, he aimed to streamline the production process, reduce labor, and provide consumers with easy access to new and innovative footwear designs.

One of the unique properties of Atossa 3D Printed Footwear is its focus on customization. Ghodsi understands that not everyone has the same type of foot, and this becomes even more apparent when it comes to high heels. With this in mind, he has designed footwear that takes into consideration the ergonomic needs of each individual, ensuring both style and comfort.

Another standout feature of this project is its commitment to sustainability. The footwear is made from bio materials, specifically Polylactic acid (PLA), which is 100% recyclable. By reducing the number of parts and materials used in production, Atossa 3D Printed Footwear minimizes its environmental impact.

The realization of this design is made possible through Ghodsi's extensive research and understanding of both fashion and 3D printing technology. He has studied various aspects such as fashion markets, footwear design, foot anatomy, and different 3D printing processes. This knowledge has allowed him to overcome challenges and deliver a final design that is both innovative and functional.

The Atossa 3D Printed Footwear project was exhibited at the Bevier Gallery at RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) in April 2015. It has received recognition for its excellence and innovation, winning the Silver A' Design Award in the Footwear, Shoes, and Boots Design category in 2016.

With Atossa 3D Printed Footwear, Seyed Behrad Ghodsi has not only pushed the boundaries of footwear design but has also paved the way for a more sustainable and personalized approach to manufacturing. This project serves as a testament to the endless possibilities that 3D printing technology offers in the world of fashion and design.
