An Innovative Artwork with a Message

Bird Nest Jewelry, designed by Sima Foroutanzadeh, is a stunning collection of golden jewelry consisting of a ring and a pendant, both adorned with a pearl in the middle. The inspiration for these pieces comes from the intricate and beautiful shapes of bird's nests. However, the similarity between the jewelry and the nests goes beyond just the form; it also lies in the concept.

Jewelry holds great value for its owner, just as a chick is important to its mother. The pearl used in these pieces serves as a metaphor for a bird's egg. Bird Nest Jewelry carries a powerful message, urging us to take care of our environment, just as birds do with their nests. It reminds us that each person has a role to play in preserving our planet.

The production of Bird Nest Jewelry involves the fusion technique, combining gold and pearl to create these exquisite pieces. The ring measures 240mm * 200mm * 340mm, while the pendant measures 460mm * 230mm * 190mm. These jewelry pieces are designed to be worn on the finger and neck, adding elegance and sophistication to any outfit.

The project was completed in December 2015 in Tehran, with Sima Foroutanzadeh leading the design team. The research behind this project focused on organic forms and the beauty of natural objects. Two types of bird's nests, the cup bird's nest (represented by the ring) and the suspended bird's nest (represented by the pendant), served as the primary models for this design.

Bird Nest Jewelry not only showcases artistic skill and technical expertise but also aims to inspire individuals to become environmental conservators. The jewelry symbolizes the value of preserving our environment, just as a piece of gold is treasured. The human body, represented by the finger and neck, becomes a metaphorical branch of a tree, protecting the precious eggs.
