Book of Wrapping Paper for Small Present

Designing a Solution for Neat and Versatile Gift Wrapping

Offering a new approach to wrapping gifts

Charmaine Leung and Yoshiko Tezuka have come up with an innovative solution to the common problem of gift wrapping small presents. Their "Book of Wrapping Paper for Small Present" is a unique and versatile design that aims to provide variety, efficiency, and tidiness in gift wrapping.

Traditionally, wrapping paper is available in large sheets, which often result in wastage when used for small presents. Leung and Tezuka recognized this issue through their interviews and research, and decided to focus specifically on wrapping paper for small gifts.

The "Book of Wrapping Paper for Small Present" features 16 sheets of wrapping paper, with 8 different designs. Each page in the book is a different pattern, allowing users to choose the perfect design for their gift. The book also includes instructions for various wrapping methods and origami projects, adding an element of fun and creativity to the gift wrapping process.

One of the key features of this design is its practicality. The wrapping book allows users to easily peel off a sheet of wrapping paper, ensuring a neat and clean presentation. Unused sheets can be stored back in the book, eliminating the problem of cluttered drawers or wasted paper.

The "Book of Wrapping Paper for Small Present" was realized through graphic design, printing, and binding techniques. The dimensions of the book are 297mm X 210mm, and it consists of 16 pages, including the wrapping paper sheets and instructions.

Leung and Tezuka's design has received recognition in the industry, winning the Iron A' Design Award in the Art and Stationery Supplies category in 2016. This award is given to designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements.

With the "Book of Wrapping Paper for Small Present," gift wrapping small presents has never been easier or more enjoyable. This design not only solves the problem of wastage and lack of variety in wrapping paper, but also adds a touch of creativity and organization to the gift-giving experience.
