Raven Kick Scooter: A Revolution in Eco-friendly Transportation

Ignas Survila's Award-winning Design Combines Luxury, Stability and Lightness

Unveiling the Raven Kick Scooter, a groundbreaking design by Ignas Survila that redefines the concept of eco-friendly transportation. This innovative design, which has been recognized with a prestigious A' Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Award, is a testament to Survila's commitment to creating sustainable and stylish solutions for urban mobility.

The Raven Kick Scooter is a unique creation that stands out from other designs in its category. The scooter's most distinctive feature is the orange gap in the middle of its horizontal frame. This design element allows the scooter to fold into an absolute flatpack stick, making it highly portable and space-efficient. The streamlined shape of the Raven fits perfectly on a consumer's shoulder, facilitating easy transportation when the scooter is folded. Made from carbon fiber material, the Raven is not only luxurious and stable, but also incredibly light, weighing in at just 980 grams.

Survila's design was inspired by his desire to make a clear statement about the impact of ecology on human life. After successfully funding the Pigeon kick scooter through Kickstarter, Survila and his team embarked on a trip around Europe to deliver the scooters to their backers. This experience, coupled with a desire to continually innovate, led to the creation of the Raven, the lightest scooter on the market.

The Raven Kick Scooter was developed and manufactured through a collaboration between Switzerland and Lithuania in April 2016. It was first exhibited at the International Exhibition of Innovation in Geneva. The scooter's design was informed by extensive research into how people use such vehicles. The team conducted numerous surveys and found that older people often perceive these types of vehicles as more suitable for children. This insight led to the creation of a new, fresh, and solid design that caters to the wants and needs of adult consumers.

One of the biggest challenges in the design process, according to Survila, was not giving up during the manufacturing step and creating a real product that could be sold on shop shelves worldwide. The Raven is not just a concept or a sketch, but a real scooter made from carbon fiber material. The rejection of unnecessary parts has made the Raven's construction lighter, and its streamlined shapes have been designed to fit perfectly on the user's shoulder, ensuring comfortable carrying of the product.

The Raven Kick Scooter is not just a unique and innovative design, but also a testament to the power of design as a tool for social change. By creating a product that is both eco-friendly and suitable for adults, Survila and his team have challenged traditional perceptions and opened up new possibilities for sustainable urban mobility. With its combination of luxury, stability, and lightness, the Raven Kick Scooter is truly a revolution in eco-friendly transportation.
