Chateau Beililan: A Packaging Design Inspired by Nature and Motherhood

An Elegant and Oriental Interpretation of Helan Mountain's Precious Grapes

Chateau Beililan, designed by Zhou Jingkuan, is a packaging design that captures the essence of Helan Mountain's exceptional grapes. The design showcases the unique qualities of the grapes and pays homage to the nurturing nature of motherhood.

The design features three hand gestures that symbolize the careful care given to the grapes. These gestures not only convey the quality of the wine but also reflect the brand's dedication to the art of winemaking. The logo design is based on the Chinese character "bei," creatively designed to resemble a pearl in a shell or the light of a sunrise over the mountains. This symbolizes the shining presence of the "Beililan" brand in the oriental shell of Helan Mountain's wine-producing areas.

Chateau Beililan is realized using roast flowers, labels, and paper packaging. The label measures 80 * 145 mm, while the box dimensions are 125 * 90 * 360 mm, providing a visually appealing and functional packaging solution.

The design of Chateau Beililan aims to attract consumers with its refined, eye-catching, and creative packaging. It combines the natural geographical conditions of Helan Mountain with the image of a caring mother. The Oriental flavor is evident in the elegant and graceful form of the design.

The project, initiated in March 2016 in Shenzhen, was completed in July 2016 in the same city. Throughout the design process, extensive research was conducted to ensure that the packaging effectively communicates the brand's message and captures the attention of potential consumers.

Chateau Beililan has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Packaging Design Award in 2017. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving the quality of life. Chateau Beililan stands out for its incorporation of best practices in art, science, design, and technology.
