Infinity: A Silver Jewelry Collection by Mateja Krasovec Pogorelcnik

Revolutionizing Luxury Fashion with Tetrahedral Structures

Infinity, a silver jewelry collection by Mateja Krasovec Pogorelcnik, is a testament to the fusion of art, design, and technology. Inspired by the tetrahedron's infinite spatial structures, this collection symbolizes timelessness and permanence.

Infinity's uniqueness lies in its basic building element - the equilateral triangle, and in spatial terms, the tetrahedron. The mobile tetrahedral structure follows the shape of the body, offering numerous design variations. The structure wraps the body, gently falling from the chest onto the hips, complemented by bracelets and a diadem. The gleam of the pyramidal tops is accentuated by embedded ground glass stones.

The collection was realized with the help of Zlatarna Celje, a world-renowned jewelry manufacturer. The design is adapted to the specific structure of the fabrics chosen for female evening clothing, considering transparency, optical light reflexes, and the movement of the body. The jewelry highlights the harmony of contrasts between skin, silver jewelry, and fabric.

Technical specifications include a larger piece of silver tetrahedral jewelry structure integrated into the top of the garment, supplemented by two symmetrical bracelets and a diadem. The individual jewelry pieces can also be worn independently. The collection is tagged with keywords such as infinity, silver, polished glass stones, tetrahedron, luxury, evening dress, jewelry, handmade, stories design, and Mateja Krasovec Pogorelcnik.

The design interacts with the body in a unique way. The mobile tetrahedral structure can be a foundation of various embodiments of jewelry covering different parts of the body. The jewelry can be used completely independently, in free combinations, and can also be adapted to the design of the cloth.

The Infinity collection was created in 1998 for a fashion competition and has since been developed under the trademark Stories Design. The design research focused on how to design jewelry that, similar to fabric, follows the shape of a human body. The mobile jewelry is adjustable and despite its geometrical structure, it follows the movement of the body. The structure of the jewelry is emphasized and decorated by embedded glass stones shining on the joints of triangles and tops of tetrahedrons.

The design faced challenges in balancing the geometrical, angular structure with the need for softness and gentleness. The jewelry comes to its utmost beauty when set directly on the skin highlighted with good direct lighting, making it perfect for evening occasions. The brilliance is most powerful on a dark background, which also applies to the photography of the creations.

The Infinity collection, with its symbolic allusion to permanence and the gleam of the pyramidal peaks highlighted by the embedded ground glass stones, is a testament to Mateja Krasovec Pogorelcnik's innovative approach to design. The collection was awarded the Golden A' Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design Award in 2017, a testament to its outstanding and trendsetting design.
