Unveiling the Eye to the Soul Collection: A Blend of Luxury, Symbolism, and Innovation

Daniela Komatovic, a renowned designer, has always been fascinated by the eloquence of eyes - the voice of the heart and the mirror of the soul. This fascination, coupled with the symbolic significance of the eye in history, inspired her to create the Eye to the Soul collection. This collection is not just decorative; it serves as a talisman, offering protection from negative influences, much like the eye symbol associated with the Egyptian god Horus, the protector of people and their destinies.

The Amulet Eye stands out for its modern treatment of traditional symbols. It is a gold ring or pendant that showcases a perfect balance of various shades of sapphire, gold, and black rhodium. The design incorporates basic geometric shapes such as circles, squares, and triangles, creating a luxurious and sophisticated piece of jewelry with the function of a protective amulet.

The creation process of the Amulet Eye is a testament to Daniela's meticulous craftsmanship. From initial pencil sketches on paper to technical drawings in Illustrator CS6 and 3D programs, the design came to life through wax press models and casting of precious metals. The final product is an 18-carat gold ring adorned with fancy sapphires, hand-set and carefully selected according to clearly defined heights. Part of the ring is coated with black rhodium, adding a unique touch to its design.

One of the unique features of the Amulet Eye is its multifunctionality. It can easily transform from a ring to a pendant, thanks to the precise shape of the eye, which allows for a stable pendant position. The non-standard sapphire installment in the form of a cube allows light to pass seamlessly through the stone, maximizing light reflection and enhancing the ring's overall appeal.

The Amulet Eye, along with the rest of the Eye to the Soul collection, was designed and manufactured in Serbia in 2016. The collection was officially presented to the public in May 2016 at the Diamond Spot jewelry shop in Belgrade. The design of the Amulet Eye, inspired by Egyptian mythology, faced challenges in meeting market demand for protective symbol jewelry and in the handmade installation of princess-shaped sapphires in a cube form. Despite these challenges, Daniela successfully created a luxurious, elegant, and timeless talisman.

Daniela's exceptional design skills and innovative approach have not gone unnoticed. The Amulet Eye was awarded the Golden A' Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design Award in 2017. This prestigious award is granted to outstanding, trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's wisdom and significantly impact the world with their desirable characteristics.
