Danny Cheng's design for One Beacon Hill is characterized by its unique use of concrete, which seamlessly connects the entrance, living room, and dining area. The designer's meticulous attention to spatial planning is evident in the open spaces, which are proportioned to create a comfortable and stylish ambiance. One of the key challenges in Hong Kong is the scarcity of land, which makes efficient storage a priority in residential design. Cheng addresses this issue innovatively by using built-in cabinets to divide rooms and areas without the need for additional structures. This not only maximizes storage capacity but also contributes to the minimalist aesthetic of the design.

Natural lighting plays a significant role in the design of One Beacon Hill. The ample light from the balcony adds depth and mood to the interior, further enhancing the overall design. The One Beacon Hill project, completed in March 2016, spans a total area of 1950 sq.ft. Located in Kowloon, Hong Kong, this residential design reflects Cheng's mastery of minimalist design principles and his ability to adapt them to the unique constraints and requirements of the project.

The design's excellence has been recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2017.
