Combining Fashion and Functionality

In modern times, lighting design has primarily focused on functionality. However, as social life develops, people have started to pay more attention to lamps that have a sense of design and decorative art. The Three Organs Decorative Lighting Design takes lighting as a carrier and combines it with new materials and conceptual themes.

The inspiration for this design comes from the characteristics of the eyes, ears, and lips. The designers, Gao Shifeng, Chen Xiuqing, and Fu ZiNuo, extracted facial features and combined them with fashion accessories made of leather. The concept theme of this design is "3D landscape" or "three organs," referring to the appearance of specific features of human beings and the inner abstract consciousness that people gradually form.

The Three Organs Decorative Lighting Design uses leather's fullness and flexibility, combined with brass's function and force, to create a visual contrast of hardness and softness. The result is an abstract and artistic lighting design that explores the boundaries of traditional lighting.

Leather, acrylic light boxes, LED lights, and brass are the main materials used in the realization of this design. The lamp comes in three variations: eyes (21cm x 30cm), ears (30cm x 42cm), and lips (47cm x 50cm).

Like a black pupil, the lamp body part made of leather can be shaped according to personal preference, allowing for a more customized and perfect form. This operational and personalized lamp adds a touch of uniqueness to any space.

The Three Organs Decorative Lighting Design project started in November 2016 and was completed in February 2017 in Zhuhai. It is a testament to the designers' creativity and their ability to push the boundaries of lighting design.

This design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category in 2017. The Iron A' Design Award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. It is respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings, and contributing to a better world.
