Exploration NewLife: Redefining Building Materials in Residential Design

Emulating the Perfect Pressure Reducing Atmosphere

Our living room emulates the perfect pressure reducing atmosphere and redefines the values and scope of building materials. Exquisite, warm-colored wooden ceilings are used as the main body and combined with custom-made pendant lamps that symbolize the reunion of various elements. Together with the view of the city landscape from the large windows, our room induces a natural chain reaction that produces a free spatial arrangement that is independent yet complementary.

For the kitchen and living room, designer Yu Wen Chiu adopts a design concept that explores the unknown in life, combined with a calm and unexaggerated indoor art design. Materials, some arranged in popular patterns while others arranged in a unique fashion, engender a natural charm. Between the stone-made TV wall and desk, popular entertainment devices and unknown aesthetic tastes are blended naturally together, creating a distinctive spatial style and illustrating the merge of uncontrollable imaginations in life.

The theme of a natural, pressure-reducing atmosphere continues in the bathroom, where special outdoor building materials are used to produce contrasting beauty in a space of complete relaxation. In the shoe shelves, a unique spatial design is used to demonstrate a classic and fashionable taste. In a space that combines functionality with fashion, the simplicity of glass and iron materials is used to dispel unnecessary interferences and shift the focus back to the users themselves.

This innovative residential design by Yu Wen Chiu challenges traditional notions of building materials and spatial arrangement. By combining elements of nature, art, and functionality, the design creates a harmonious and pressure-reducing atmosphere that promotes relaxation and creativity.

Completed in February 2016 in Taiwan, this project showcases the designer's commitment to exploring future lifestyle possibilities and reigniting passion. The attention to detail and integration of creative design with practical function make this design not only fulfill customer demands but exceed expectations.

Winner of the Bronze A' Design Award in 2017 for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design, Exploration NewLife exemplifies outstanding and creatively ingenious design. Esteemed for incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology, this design contributes to quality of life improvements and makes the world a better place.
