CreoGlass Design's Premium Collection: A New Dimension in Glass Splashbacks

Winner of the Silver A' Building Materials and Construction Components Design Award in 2017

CreoGlass Design's Premium Collection revolutionizes the concept of glass splashbacks by introducing a luxurious metallic finish. This innovative design, which won the Silver A' Design Award in 2017, showcases a unique blend of art, technology, and design, offering a hygienic and visually appealing alternative to traditional kitchen tiling.

CreoGlass Design's inspiration for the Premium Collection stemmed from the desire to elevate the standard practice of applying a solid colour to the back of a glass panel. The team aimed to create a product that exudes luxury and depth. After extensive experimentation, they discovered a method of using metallic minerals to create an illusion of a layered textured finish that glimmers under both artificial and natural lights.

The Premium Collection's unique properties lie in its raw metallic minerals, meticulously prepared into flakes and affixed by hand to the rear of toughened glass. This process creates layers that form a seamless, glimmering texture. The toughened glass surface is not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical, being impact and heat resistant to over 400 degrees Celsius.

The realization of this design involved a well-refined manufacturing method that began as an artistic trial. Each step was continuously scrutinized to perfect the final finish. The hand-layering of the texture was the most challenging part of the process, requiring the right environmental conditions to ensure a consistent and deep textured effect.

The Premium Collection panels are bespoke made for each project, with a maximum length of around 4 meters. The panels are fixed to walls and sealed with adhesive silicone, providing a smooth, non-porous surface that is easy to clean and incredibly hygienic. Despite the multilayered, glimmering textured appearance, the surface remains smooth to the touch, thanks to the minerals being behind the layer of glass.

Since its creation in 2014, the Premium Collection has been applied to numerous projects within the UK. The typical timeframe for a Premium Collection project, from initial measurements to final installation, is around four weeks. The design has four different mixes of minerals currently available, offering a variety of options for customers.

In conclusion, CreoGlass Design's Premium Collection is a testament to the power of innovation and design, transforming the traditional concept of glass splashbacks into a work of art. It is a perfect example of how design can elevate everyday objects into something extraordinary, enhancing not only the aesthetics of a space but also its functionality and hygiene.
