The 300-foot Infinitas is a testament to advanced yacht aesthetics, with its design taking cues from the infinity symbol. This abstract expression is evident in the yacht's elevation, achieved by carving out stern and mid-section elliptical decks. A central structural "spine" holds the loop together, allowing the yacht's superstructure to flow seamlessly within itself.
Infinitas stands out not just for its unique design, but also for its realignment of traditional function areas. The main deck living room and dining room are detached, separated by a massive pool deck. This new deck can be traversed overhead on a sky bridge or across a walkway which bisects the pool itself. The main level also contains a bow deck with a helipad, while the second level up is reserved for guest suites and a secondary bow deck. The owner's suite occupies the third level.
The interior design of Infinitas reflects an intense minimalist palette with a dash of attitude. The main salon features a generous 12-foot ceiling height and fully glazed walls, creating an island within the yacht. All decks below are designated for crew quarters, storage, and mechanical, engine room activities. Infinitas is designed to accommodate 12 guests and crew.
Infinitas is not just a design marvel but also a technological wonder. The hull is made of aluminum for both weight distribution and ease of connection. The upper body of the yacht is divided into both aluminum and carbon fiber, with the latter used for the bridge span walk over the pool opening, taking advantage of its strength and lightness. These measures were incorporated to lower the center of gravity and provide optimum strength for the upper portion of the hull.
The design of Infinitas was a challenge to the accepted method of yacht design. It offers up new pathways to yacht design, with a flow and grace which instantly seems in harmony with the waters it crosses. The project took approximately 1-1/2 to 2 years to design and is estimated to take 2 years to build.
Infinitas is a vision of innovation and excellence, a testament to the power of design to challenge conventions and redefine luxury. This mega yacht is not just a vessel, but a symbol of endless possibilities in design and technology.
