1937: A Blend of Heritage and Modern Masculinity

Muggie Ramadani's Award-Winning Packaging and Brand Development

Embodying the ambiance of 1936 Copenhagen, Muggie Ramadani's 1937 design project is a testament to the blend of old and modern masculinity. The design, inspired by the barbershop heritage, has been awarded the Golden A' Packaging Design Award in 2017.

The inspiration for the 1937 design project is deeply rooted in the heritage of the barbershop. The materials and ambiance of the barbershop were translated into a simple yet strong identity system. The design is a reflection of the mix of old and modern masculinity, providing a true experience of the most popular shave and cut in Copenhagen.

The 1937 design project stands out due to its unique properties. Based on decades of heritage, the old barbershop in Vognmagergade retains the ambiance of Copenhagen in 1936. The shop, its service, and its employees embody this mix of old and modern masculinity. The Vognmagergade barbershop has recently launched a series of products, all designed and packaged to embody this modern masculine balance across aftershaves, hair products, and shaving accessories.

The realization of the 1937 design project involved the use of various materials such as glass, PVC, and cardboard. The range consists of different types of products in different sizes, all designed and packaged to embody the modern masculine balance.

The design team behind the 1937 project includes Creative Director Muggie Ramadani and designers Muggie Ramadani and Nicolas Fuhr. Their combined efforts have resulted in a design that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and reflective of the brand's identity.

The 1937 design project was awarded the Golden A' Packaging Design Award in 2017. This prestigious award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom. They are venerated products and bright ideas that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
