Fantasia: The Multi-Occasional Sunglasses

Fantasia is a 3-piece pair of sunglasses that includes a main (lower) piece with lenses, an upper shape, and temples. The user can easily assemble the pieces in three simple steps, providing them with plenty of shapes to choose from for different occasions, all with just one product.

The main strength of Fantasia lies in its customizability. By allowing users to have a role in choosing the final shape of the glasses, the product creates an emotional bond between the user and the eyewear. The user can select their favorite upper shape and temple design, creating a unique and personalized pair of sunglasses.

The production method for Fantasia involves injection using high-quality Carbon or TR90 as the material. This ensures durability and comfort, while also allowing for the precise matching and fixing of the different pieces that create the main shape of the glasses.

The glasses are designed according to ergonomic factors of different face shapes, ensuring a comfortable fit for almost every face type and size. This attention to detail enhances the overall user experience and makes Fantasia suitable for a wide range of individuals.

Azadeh Razaghi, the designer behind Fantasia, explains that the inspiration for this design came from the desire to create a customizable eyewear that allows users to express their individuality and style. By involving the user in the assembling process, Fantasia goes beyond being just a fashion accessory and becomes a means of self-expression.

Throughout the design process, there were two significant challenges that had to be overcome. The first challenge was to create a standard base that could be matched by different upper shapes, ensuring compatibility and versatility. The second challenge was to design a mechanism for assembling the pieces together that was simple and intuitive for the user.

Fantasia was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2017. This prestigious award recognizes the outstanding creativity and ingenuity of the design, as well as its contribution to improving the quality of life.
