Dionysius: A High Jewelry Collection

An Exquisite Blend of Anatomy and Flora

The Dionysius Collection, designed by Herman Francisco Delos Santos, is a high jewelry collection that seamlessly combines anatomical structures with floral references, resulting in a dynamic and captivating design.

Inspired by the intricate beauty of anatomical structures and the delicate elegance of flowers, the Dionysius Collection pushes the boundaries of traditional jewelry design. The collection exudes a sense of motion and fluidity, creating a mesmerizing visual experience.

The centerpiece of the collection is the Dionysius Necklace, which features a stunning "floating" amethyst nestled within the anatomical structure. The surrounding diamonds add dimension and reflect light, enhancing the brilliance of the amethyst. This necklace is a true statement piece, capturing attention and admiration wherever it is worn.

Complementing the necklace is the Dionysius Ring, which showcases a modern pavé style. The tightly set material creates a seamless brilliance within the boundaries of the wings. The dynamic wings of the ring provide a unique and sculptural characteristic, allowing for different shapes and profiles to be displayed when rotated. This ring is a testament to the designer's creativity and attention to detail.

The realization of the Dionysius Collection involves a combination of direct laser sintering and traditional hand craftsmanship. The use of white gold, amethyst, and white diamonds further enhances the luxurious and exclusive nature of the collection.

Technical specifications for the Dionysius Necklace include 634 white diamond settings totaling 69.74 carats, with an amethyst center gem and cabochons. The Dionysius Ring features 168 amethyst settings totaling 1.68 carats and 177 white diamond settings totaling 4.35 carats.

The Dionysius Jewelry Collection is designed for the female elitists of society, including executives, leaders, and prestigious officials. It appeals to individuals who seek exclusive and bespoke collections, looking beyond commercialized labels.

The design process for the Dionysius Collection began in February 2014 in San Francisco, California. Extensive research and development were conducted, drawing inspiration from historic status symbols such as crowns and jewelry design. The sketches were further developed in 3D and then rendered, resulting in the expressive and raw designs of the collection.

Overcoming the challenge of showcasing a "floating" amethyst within the Dionysius Necklace required an elegant and functional solution. The designer successfully achieved a design that is both visually striking and producible.

The Dionysius Collection, with its extravagant necklace and ring, is a testament to the designer's creativity and innovation. It seamlessly blends anatomical structures and floral references, creating a dynamic and captivating design. This collection has been recognized for its excellence and was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2015.
