Redefined Design and Functionality in Gasoline Engine Chain Saws

The Painier Chain Saw redefines the visual image and form language of traditional chain saws. The designers have innovatively treated the starting device, tensioning device, air filter, and other key components, resulting in a harmonious fusion of function and form. The saw's superior internal combustion engine technology reduces fuel consumption, improves carbon deposition, reduces emissions and pollution, and has earned the EU’s VCA emission certificate.

This revolutionary chain saw is made from high-strength plastic, with some metal parts of the body and the guide plate using titanium magnesium aluminum alloy. The chain is made of iron and steel. The product dimensions are as follows: body - Width 380.86mm x Depth 180.20mm x Height 277.72mm; saw - Width 524.25mm x Depth 7mm x Height 78.64mm.

The operation of the Painier Chain Saw is similar to traditional chain saw products. However, its better human-machine scale design and clearer visual approach allow ordinary users to control it more quickly and safely. The design team conducted extensive market research on chain saw products to fully define the product development and positioning. This research led to the creation of a new form design features and style, optimized for user experience.

The most challenging part of the project was creating a new set of chain saw product form design visual recognition as the Product Identity (PI) of the enterprise. Balancing the design effect, processing technology, ergonomics, and other important factors was also a significant challenge. The project started in April 2016 in China and finished in May 2017, and was exhibited in the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) in May 2017.

The Painier Chain Saw has been recognized for its innovative design and functionality, winning the Silver A' Hardware, Power and Hand Tools Design Award in 2018.
