Yunfan Xia's Noerden Hybrid Smart Watch City: A New Era in Fashionable Tech-cessories

The Noerden Hybrid Smart Watch City was born from a desire to cater to a specific consumer base: young business travelers who value both style and function. The watch is a testament to the power of Invisible Tech, seamlessly integrating smart assistant features into a traditional watch design. With a one-year battery life, this hybrid smart watch never needs to be charged and goes beyond 24/7 activity tracking, simplifying the busy lives of its users.

The design team, led by Yunfan Xia, faced several challenges in the creation of the Noerden Hybrid Smart Watch City. They had to respect the traditional watch design while simultaneously integrating smart functions that modern consumers expect. The team also had to find solutions to extend the battery life as long as possible, resulting in a battery life that is 20 times longer than other smartwatches.

The watch features Swiss movement, a stainless steel case, sapphire glass, Luminova hands, and is waterproof to 5ATM/50 meters. It offers 24/7 activity and sleep tracking, automatic run detection, sedentary reminder, goal achievement display, world time synchronization, message/calls/alarm vibration alert, call rejection control, do not disturb feature, compass, camera remote control, and a paired Android & IOS mobile app.

The project started in December 2016 in Paris and was completed in January 2018 in Shanghai. It was exhibited in the Hong Kong Mobile Electronics Trade Show in October 2017, where it won the 'Best Product Design' Award from the STARTUP LAUNCHPAD. The product was revealed to consumers at IDEAL HOME SHOW in December 2017 in Shanghai.

The Noerden Hybrid Smart Watch City was awarded Golden in A' Jewelry, Eyewear and Watch Design Award in 2018.
