The Warmth of the Villa

Architecture Design

The Warmth of the Villa is a stunning architectural design created by Chi-Wei Lin and Yu-Chih Chang. This design embodies simplicity and pureness, providing a warm and inviting living environment for its residents.

Inspired by the desire for a happy and fulfilling life, the design of The Warmth of the Villa incorporates elements such as warm sunlight, open configurations, pot plants, a bedroom mirror printed with tree grain, and a great view outside the balcony. The natural design style evokes a sense of purity and beauty.

One of the unique properties of this design is the use of plain stones in the living room, which creates a majestic atmosphere. The irregular-shaped tea table and public storage cabinet add elegance and relaxation to the space, making it a truly inviting environment.

The design also features a partition wall that serves multiple purposes. On one side, the wooden quality and retro-style chairs create a pleasant reading area. On the other side, the simple design style, along with the delicate European-style fireplace and ceiling window, creates an artistic tea-tasting atmosphere.

The Warmth of the Villa spans across 600 square meters, providing ample space for residents to enjoy and relax in. The project was completed in October 2016 in Taichung City, Taiwan.

Through careful research and attention to detail, the design team has created a beautiful garden-like space, with a stone walkway, blue sky, and white facade, symbolizing the intimate relationship between the family and their dwelling.

The design of The Warmth of the Villa presented several challenges, but the designers were able to overcome them by focusing on the most primordial elements of nature. The result is a harmonious and inviting living space that reflects the client's hospitable nature.

The Warmth of the Villa was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2018 in the category of Architecture, Building, and Structure Design. This prestigious award recognizes designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The design is respected for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
