White Light

Residence Designed by Rachelle Chen

The most gorgeous vistas hide in the most delicate decorations, and the designer skillfully unveils the space charisma.

The White Light residence, designed by Rachelle Chen, is a stunning example of functional-oriented design that exudes affable residential atmosphere. The house, characterized by its clean and white aesthetic, features a clear-cut interior design plan that prioritizes functionality and storage capacity.

One of the unique properties of this design is the extensive use of black-and-white contrasting colors. The main white spaces are accentuated by black frames embedded in large glass panels, creating distinct areas for different vistas. This classical fashion of contrasting colors adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the overall design.

The White Light residence spans an area of 142 square meters and is located in Taipei City, Taiwan. Completed in October 2017, this project showcases the designer's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to creating a stress-free living environment.

The design team, led by Rachelle Chen, overcame various challenges to bring this design to life. The private spaces, such as the bedrooms, are painted with beige and light brown tones to create a comfortable and cozy ambiance. In the master bedroom, a tawny leather wall covering moderates the visual intensity, while a curtain separates the bed area from the study room, ensuring privacy and minimizing disturbance.

The White Light residence strikes a harmonious balance between space ratio and practicability. Every element and furnishing within the space has been carefully considered to create a configuration of generosity and elegance. Nothing is exaggerated or ignored, and each element serves a purpose, contributing to the overall charm and functionality of the residence.

Recipient of the Iron A' Design Award in 2018, the White Light residence has been recognized for its well-designed, practical, and innovative features. This award acknowledges the integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, resulting in a space that provides fulfillment and positive feelings, ultimately contributing to a better world.
