Peacocks: A Dynamic Cocktail Ring Inspired by Nature

Zolotova's aim was to create an elegant shape for a large gemstone while incorporating the beauty and dynamism of peacocks into the design. The result is a stunning ring with asymmetric curves that evoke the battle of these majestic birds. Two figures of peacocks shape the bezel for the center stone, symbolizing their desire to win the affection of a peahen.

The ring is meticulously crafted using a combination of traditional and modern techniques. Zolotova first created a 3D CAD design within Matrix and printed a wax model on a 3D printer. The ring was then produced through the lost-wax casting process using pink gold. After pre-polishing, the gemstones were set, and the final step involved buffing the ring to perfection.

With its dimensions of 21x16.5x29mm and a weight of 8.0g, this cocktail ring is a true statement piece. The central gemstone, a red garnet, represents the peahen and adds a touch of elegance to the design. The use of pink gold 14Kt further enhances the ring's luxurious appeal.

Designed as a cocktail ring, this piece is meant to be worn during special occasions. It is best suited for the right hand, providing a striking contrast to engagement, wedding, or other personal rings. Despite its size and the incorporation of two bird figures, the ring is balanced and comfortable to wear.
