The Glamour of Light is an exquisite interior design project by Chin-An Yang that captures the essence of modern American style. This resort house, spanning 400 square meters, is a testament to the harmonious relationship between nature and architecture.

Designed with recreational desires in mind, the house enjoys superior and balanced conditions in sunlight, temperature, and air. The strategic placement of windows and the use of earth-tone colors in the paint create a soothing and elegant aura throughout the space.

One of the unique features of this design is the way it embraces the changing light. The vistas within the house reflect the variations in natural light, creating a sense of grandeur and luxury. The play of light and shadow adds depth and dimension to the interior, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.

The resort house seamlessly integrates different textures and materials to create a visually captivating environment. The delicate textures of dark woods complement the greyish stones, establishing a reciprocal connection between the massive textures and color intensities. This integration of textures and colors elevates the everyday aesthetics of the space.

The living and dining rooms, as the components of the public area, foster closer relationships among family members. The master bedroom, furnished with elegant walnuts, exudes a poised and calming atmosphere. The bathroom, featuring a Japanese-style spa tub, showcases the layout of a luxury house.

Throughout the design process, the team faced the challenge of balancing aesthetic compositions with environmental considerations. By incorporating innovative experiments and reinforcing the uniqueness and originality of the design, they successfully integrated technology and lifestyle. The result is a space that not only showcases design skills and aesthetics but also values environmental sustainability.

The Glamour of Light project was completed in December 2016 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. It has received recognition for its outstanding design, winning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This award acknowledges the project's creativity, resourcefulness, and contribution to improving quality of life.
