Exploring Geometric Modelling Architecture and Minimalism Aesthetics

The shop's unique location on a neighboring street and its exploration of geometric modeling architecture and minimalism aesthetics set it apart. The designer has transformed interesting thinking into indoor and outdoor furniture combination scenes, creating a French dessert shop that is neither overly European nor simply low-key.

The realization of this design is a marvel in itself. The smooth terrazzo counter reflects the display in the shop, while the bar on the other side uses architectural interspersed techniques, embellishing bright leaping colors for a unique visual effect. The compact design of tables and chairs, coupled with unusual lamps and lanterns, injects aesthetic interest in a calm and restrained context.

Despite its compact size of 80 square meters, the shop offers a comfortable dining terrace that connects customers with the street. The combination of landscape and materials explains the collision between human and nature, showcasing the vitality of the dessert shop.

The project, which started in July 2018 and finished in September 2018 in Wuxi, faced several challenges. The designer had to use new material and craft practice, and the indoor space form that pursues individual character and structure characteristic was an innovation of this case. The stereo geometry modeling of the wall and ceiling in the store, derived from the designer's understanding of dessert form, breaks the horizontal and vertical regular pattern, emphasizing the modeling feeling of the building, and pursuing individual character and human feeling.

This design project has been recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom. They are venerated products and bright ideas that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
