Clarity: A Unique Residential House Design by Lo Shih Che

An Exquisite Blend of Wood and Grey Colors

For the residential spatial design project, the entire room is decorated with wood and grey colors. Space utilization and openness are the key elements of the design.

The Clarity design, created by renowned designer Lo Shih Che, is a residential house that stands out for its unique blend of wood and grey colors. The design focuses on space utilization and openness, creating a harmonious and tranquil living environment.

The highlight of the design is the elongated common area, which is cleverly separated into three distinct areas using semi-transparent means. These areas include the living room, dining room, and study, each with its own purpose and ambiance.

The spacious living room is furnished with a light brown sofa and light grey walls, creating a sense of tranquility. Movable panels adorn the walls, enhancing functionality and allowing for the owner's favorite flower arrangements. French windows on the right side of the room let in copious natural light, minimizing the need for artificial lighting.

One of the unique aspects of the Clarity design is the integration of the TV into a grey hanging cabinet, which also doubles as a sideboard separating the living room from the dining room. This innovative design element hides the bean column structure while allowing the separate areas to be joined together. The grey, semi-transparent material extends the line of sight and lets in light, creating a seamless and open space.

The dining room features a minimalist long table and chandelier, presenting a succinct and well-executed ambiance. The open kitchen on the left side of the dining room features a kitchen island countertop with a foursquare design, improving its versatility. The master bedroom, highlighted by a sapphire-colored headboard, creates a stark contrast with the wooden floor. Partitions are used to create a desk space, adding a minimalistic yet elegant interior quality.

The Clarity design also pays attention to the finer details. The vestibule features symmetrically designed, neutral, grey-colored cupboards concealed under an exquisite texture of stone surface material, accentuating the stone sculptures and creating an artistic ambiance at the entrance.

Completed in April 2018 in Taichung City, Taiwan, the Clarity design is a testament to Lo Shih Che's creativity and attention to detail. It offers a unique and harmonious living space that combines functionality with aesthetic appeal.

The Clarity design has received recognition for its excellence. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Clarity design is respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings, and contributing to a better world.
