Restaurant in Harmony with Nature

In order to create a comfortable and close-to-nature dining environment, the designers left out walls, using only pillars and boards to lightly hide the building in the woods. This integration with the original natural environment allows diners to enjoy a meal surrounded by a great lake view, tree shadows, the smell of flowers, and the whisper of birds. The steams from the boiling pots curling in the pillars and woods add to the cozy atmosphere.

The Garden Hotpot is made using steel and coated with fluorocarbon paint. With an area of 1800.0sqm, the design showcases a low-cost, low-budget approach while still providing a unique and immersive dining experience.

The entire space is completely open to nature, with no walls or doors, as the site is surrounded by woods and crystal clear water. The goal is for the building to merge into the environment, allowing people to connect with nature. The minimalist design, with a purely white color scheme and minimal decoration, encourages visitors to engage with the natural surroundings.

The Garden Hotpot project started in December 2018 in Chengdu, China and is currently under construction. It has been recognized for its outstanding design, winning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2019. This award honors designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
