The eRook Compact battery was inspired by the need for a more affordable and simplified energy storage solution. Javier Zorrilla Diaz, the designer behind this innovative battery, wanted to create a system that could be easily understood by anyone, including children. With this in mind, the eRook Compact battery was born.

What sets the eRook Compact battery apart is its flexibility and scalability. It is a lithium-ion battery that can be produced in various sizes to meet specific energy storage needs. The central block of the battery is manufactured through extrusion, allowing for customization and cost-effectiveness.

One of the standout features of the eRook Compact battery is its intuitive and secure system of connectors. Users can easily connect multiple batteries together, creating a seamless and efficient energy storage system. Additionally, the battery's ergonomic design, with a slot on the side, makes it easy to transport and handle.

The manufacturing process of the eRook Compact battery involves the injection of plastic for the lid, while the body is made through plastic extrusion. Inside, it houses lithium-ion battery cells and control electronics, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

With dimensions of 250mm x variable x 165mm, the eRook Compact battery offers a compact and versatile solution for energy storage. Its modular and scalable design allows for easy expansion and adaptation to changing energy needs.

Not only does the eRook Compact battery excel in functionality, but it also prioritizes sustainability. The production process optimizes resources and utilizes recyclable materials, making it a green product that aligns with the principles of clean energy.

The eRook Compact battery project started in April 2018 and was completed in December 2018 in Pamplona. It was later presented at the GENERA 2019 fair in Madrid, where it was recognized as one of the most innovative energy projects in Spain.

Javier Zorrilla Diaz, the designer behind the eRook Compact battery, utilized a combination of injection and extrusion processes to create a family of products without the need for significant investment in each model. The battery's capacity depends on the number of lithium-ion battery cells it contains, allowing for scalability and customization.

The eRook Compact battery addresses the challenges of traditional energy storage systems by providing a safe, user-friendly, and environmentally conscious solution. Its innovative design has earned it the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2019, recognizing its practicality, innovation, and adherence to industry standards.
