CPR Penthouse

Contemporary, Cozy, and Open Apartment Design

The main inspiration for the CPR Penthouse was the view and the openness of the property. The designer saw the positives of the location as an opportunity, while also viewing the various functional and spatial problems as a challenge to be solved. Despite these obstacles, the apartment manages to be both cozy and open, offering a balanced and functional living environment.

The apartment covers an area of 144 sq.m. Half of the daytime area is covered in grey painted furniture panels and integrated furniture, defining and dividing the space. The other half is bright and cozy, with wooden parquet and accent lighting. The bedrooms feature soft and cozy materials such as fabrics and wood on the walls. In the bathroom, a specific plywood ceiling serves as both a decorative and functional element.

One of the key strengths of the CPR Penthouse is its emphasis on family interaction and relaxation. The design aims to provide the best possible home experience for its inhabitants. The project was completed in Sofia, starting in December 2016 and finishing in June 2018.

Despite the challenges posed by the existing space, the design team managed to create a contemporary floor plan that integrates all the different areas and takes full advantage of the beautiful scenery. By creating contrast between the areas, the design emphasizes their function and unifies the space. The result is a truly unique and inviting living environment.

The CPR Penthouse was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award recognizes designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
