Shellter Hotel & Apartaments: A Harmonious Blend of Nature and Architecture

The main inspiration behind the Shellter Hotel & Apartaments project is the surrounding nature, particularly the Baltic Sea. The designer, Tomasz Glebowski, envisioned a space where people could slow down and reconnect with the exceptional natural values of the area. Careful consideration was given to the construction process to ensure minimal impact on the local flora and fauna.

What sets Shellter apart is its commitment to coexisting with nature and promoting sustainable development. The complex is nestled in a crowberry pine forest, offering guests a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the unparalleled beauty of the surroundings. The buildings are thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with the landscape, providing maximum privacy and comfort.

The realization of the Shellter Hotel & Apartaments project is a testament to the designer's meticulous attention to detail. The use of natural finishing materials such as wood and stone, combined with simple yet elegant forms, creates a distinctive character and atmosphere. The colors of the complex, including graphite, grey, beige, and white, reflect the elements of the surrounding environment, such as tree trunks, grasses in the dunes, and the sandy beach.

Spanning over 8 hectares, the Shellter Hotel & Apartaments complex comprises 15 apartment buildings and a hotel. Each building is carefully crafted to provide functional terraces and spacious interiors flooded with natural light. The large windows offer breathtaking views of the lush greenery, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Designed to cater to a wide range of needs, the complex offers an array of services, including apartments, a hotel with both outdoor and indoor swimming pools, and spa & wellness zones. Walking paths and a boulevard along the dunes further enhance the recreational opportunities for guests.

The Shellter Hotel & Apartaments project began in 2018 and is currently under construction. The combination of exceptional natural values and high-quality architecture has resulted in a truly unique investment on the Polish coast. The design team, led by Tomasz Glebowski, has successfully created a space that encourages individuals to slow down, appreciate nature, and find a moment of tranquility.

This outstanding design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2019.
