Traveling focuses on life, and the “home” is where the heart belongs to. The design idea based on the new classical white combines the elegant and strong colors that spawn the diverse ambiences. By means of showing different affections with colors, the designer decorates the house with multiple styles, where the mind traveling is seated.
The entryway is decorated with green closets and woods, creating a unique style. The louver cabinets not only allow airflow but also develop the overall aesthetic. The iron sliding door figuratively distinguishes the inner and outer spaces, adding a touch of elegance. The public area, composed of the living room, is embellished with strong colors that disclose a calm attraction. The wall behind the sofa is delicately decorated with dark moldings, concealing large storage cabinets that are capacious for big appliances. The dark-purple TV wall reveals a romantic affection, and the unsymmetrical style agrees with the entire atmosphere.
The elegant French-style furniture congruously reconciles the entire space, creating a graceful impression for the dining room. For the hostess who loves cooking, the decorations of the dining room and kitchen are of great concern. The previous kitchen wall is demolished to spare extra space for the kitchen counter. To reduce kitchen fumes, the designer replaces the original painted glass with imported white gourd-style mark bricks that symbolize "fortune and auspiciousness." The black-and-white vintage bricks delineate the boundary between areas.
The private area is embellished with different colors, exposing a consistent integral style. The study room is distinguished into three areas with royal blue, wood cabinets, and a long curved table, creating a British-style classical reading environment for the family. The dressing area is behind the headboard in the master bedroom, harmoniously integrating thick and laid-back ambiences.
The Bon Voyage residential house design, created by Yu-Chieh Lin and Chen-Yu Lan, is a testament to the fusion of European romanticism, American classicism, and contemporary functionality. The unique use of colors and styles creates a space that embodies the essence of travel and lifestyle. Completed in January 2019 in Tainan City, Taiwan, this design showcases the designers' attention to detail and their ability to create a harmonious and elegant living environment.
