The Gelin Mansion stands out for its highly feasible spatial layout. The interior design leverages the penetrating quality of straight lines and the unique beauty of curves to achieve spatial balance. The interior decoration employs color and dedicated materials, such as mountain-pattern marble and ice-white marble, to bring the project to life, creating an elegant atmosphere that aligns with contemporary aesthetics while retaining the charm of oriental culture.
The project covers an area of 624 square meters and is located in Yingde City, Guangdong Province, China. The design phase took about 45 days, and construction was completed in approximately three months. The sales office is designed to help customers better understand the newly constructed buildings and houses, providing an overall construction plan and facilitating contact with sales managers for inquiries and purchases.
One of the challenges encountered during the design process was the placement and design of the stairs, given the two-floor structure. The designers had to find a suitable position where the stairs would not disrupt the overall spatial layout. The choice of colors and texture of materials was also crucial to avoid the sense of indifference often associated with minimalism. The designers opted for light color wood finish customization and flooring and paid special attention to the introduction of light to create a soft and warm atmosphere.
The Gelin Mansion project reflects a deep understanding of the culture and characteristics of Yingde City, known for its natural scenery and simple lifestyle. The designers used materials to highlight these characteristics, resulting in a design that feels like home to its visitors. This attention to detail and innovative approach to design earned the Gelin Mansion a Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. The award recognizes top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
