Taking white as the leading tone, the Feng Shu Villas blend the textures and champagne gold of Venetian plaster with classical decorations, creating an elegant French style. The absence of redundant colors and decorations allows the history of Chongqing to take center stage, while bringing a sense of tranquility and sophistication to the space. The villas cover an area of 737 square meters, providing ample room for residents to enjoy the luxurious surroundings.
The realization of the Feng Shu Villas involved the use of marble paint plaster, a technique that adds a touch of opulence and refinement to the design. The project commenced in December 2017 and was completed in July 2018, showcasing the dedication and expertise of the design team led by Hong Kong Fong Wong Architects.
The design of the Feng Shu Villas reflects the meticulous research conducted by FONGWONG.HK, an architectural design firm with over 20 years of experience. Inspired by the culture of Chongqing, a former auxiliary capital of China, the firm embraced the French neoclassical style to pay homage to the city's history. The result is a design that exudes a profound spirit and a clear and soft white tone, embodying the firm's commitment to quality and elegance.
The creation of the Feng Shu Villas was not without its challenges. The design team had to work within a tight timeframe, completing the indoor and soft-fitting design in a remarkably short period. Despite this constraint, the team successfully brought their vision to life, delivering a space that seamlessly blends history, art, and modern living.
The Feng Shu Villas have garnered recognition for their exceptional design. In 2019, they were awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
