With 93% of these magnificent creatures residing in the Caspian Sea, the designer saw an opportunity to encapsulate their elegance and rarity in a logo. The design cleverly integrates the details of the Beluga Sturgeon with the letter 'C', creating a visually striking symbol for the brand.
The design's unique properties lie in its visual emphasis, showcasing the origin of the product. Printed on pearl paper, the labels symbolize seafood and the shell itself. The logo harmoniously combines two identities - the Beluga Sturgeon symbol and the brand's name. The letter 'C' is a metaphorical representation of the company name and the shape of the Beluga Sturgeon during the fertilization of Caviar eggs.
The Caspian Black Pearl was realized using shell texture sticker labels on cans, caviar cans, and wooden gift boxes. The label dimensions are a precise 83 mm x 83 mm. The design tags include keywords such as 'Caviar', 'Pearl', 'Beluga Sturgeon', 'Royal', 'Luxury food', 'Seafood', 'Label', and 'Can'.
The design was created in Tehran, starting in October 2018. The research conducted for this design revealed that most customers of Royal Beluga Sturgeon Caviar are wealthy aristocrats. The company produces caviar cans in low volumes and luxury gift boxes, aiming to attract affluent customers. The logo design, therefore, needed to reflect the luxury and exclusivity of the product.
One of the challenges faced during the design process was differentiating the client's product in a market filled with various types of Caviar products. The client's product is one of the most luxurious and expensive types of Caviar, and the logo and packaging design needed to convey this uniqueness. The design overcame this challenge by using the anatomy shape of the Beluga Sturgeon and the color of oysters in the labels.
In conclusion, the Caspian Black Pearl design by Mehdi Ghareh Mohammadi is a testament to the power of design in conveying a product's essence. The design's unique combination of the letter 'C' with the shape of the fish, the use of oyster-coated paper for the labels, and gold-coated cans make this product stand out, presenting the caviar cans as shells holding precious black pearls inside them.
