Unveiling Musa Celik's Award-Winning, Eco-Friendly Shoe Box Design

Musa Celik's inspiration for the Greyder V came from the simple act of walking. As one foot heels on the other, a "V" shape is formed. This movement is mirrored in the package design; when opened, the shoes form a "V" shape, reminiscent of the walking motion. This unique aspect sets the Greyder V apart from traditional shoe box designs.

The Greyder V is more than just a shoe box; it's a solution to a common problem. Traditional shoe boxes require a plastic bag for transportation, contributing to the global plastic waste problem. The Greyder V, however, features built-in handles, eliminating the need for plastic bags. Furthermore, its shoe storage compartments make unpacking a breeze, adding to the user's convenience.

Produced by the grinding method from carton, the Greyder V is 100% recyclable and biodegradable. The package's dimensions are 290mm in height, 330mm in width, and 130mm in depth, making it compact and easy to store. This thoughtful design is not only eco-friendly but also space-efficient, making it a favorite among businesswomen who often keep a spare pair of shoes in their office.

The development of the Greyder V was a meticulous process. The project began in January 2017 and was launched in Turkey in July 2018. During this period, Celik faced two significant challenges: ensuring the packages were of high quality and could be kept by consumers for a long time, and addressing issues related to transportation and storage. Despite these challenges, Celik successfully created a design that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing.

The Greyder V is a shining example of how design can contribute to environmental sustainability while enhancing user experience. Musa Celik's innovative design has not only won him the prestigious Golden A' Packaging Design Award but also the admiration of consumers and environmentalists alike.
