Wang Zhiqi's Innovative Corporate Identity: C'YiShu

Blending Architecture, Piano Education, and Visual Communication Design

The inspiration for C'YiShu's design was drawn from the concepts of "Chi" and Sense of Space. The aim was to create a diverse studio space for design, piano, coffee, and furniture. This unique blend of elements is reflected in the design's unique properties, which set it apart from other corporate identities.

Zhiqi has created a unique symbol for the project, supplemented by auxiliary graphics representing multiple business forms. This has resulted in a comprehensive visual symbol, rather than a simple logo. The diverse graphics have given birth to a rich, complete, and unique brand system that is easy to remember and spread.

The realization of this design involved various techniques such as printing silver, hot stamping white, specialty paper, and metal laser hollowing. The design specifications include notepads, notebooks, sketch books, business cards, cards, cloth bags, envelopes, file pockets, work cards, and brooches of various sizes.

The design process was not without its challenges. The main challenge was finding the appropriate design language to reflect the connotation of the industry and brand. After weighing the use of different graphics to represent corresponding business forms, and making repeated trials on the use of stripes of various thickness and gradient, the desired effect of detail control was achieved.

The project started in November 2018 in Xi'an and was completed in March 2019 in the same city. It was awarded the Golden Pin Design Award in 2019. This recognition is testament to the design's outstanding expertise and innovation, its strong technical characteristics, and splendid artistic skill.
