The inspiration behind the Yongning House is rooted in the concept of 'constructing'. Ouyang extracted this term as a design element, disintegrating and refining it into key words such as pattern, void and solid, light and shadow. These elements were then used to interpret the visual, spatial, and spiritual etherealness of the project. The result is an intensive and flowing integrated layout that meets functional requirements while offering a unique aesthetic experience.

What sets the Yongning House apart is its restraint in design methods and material selection. Ouyang employed a jointing method to inlay refined metals into columns and decorate wall lamps. This meticulous attention to detail, combined with the rigorous alignment of line, plane, and body, creates a sense of both roughness and refinement, contributing to a flowing atmosphere in the details.

The realization of this design was made possible through the use of materials such as kedding wood surface, Bowitt Titanium-plated Stainless, Tailei, and Danfoerhui marble. The sales office, which covers an area of 23680.60 sq.ft, was designed in August 2018 and completed in March 2019. The project is located on Construction Road, Pukou District, Nanjing City.

One of the challenges faced during the design process was the irregular structure of the sand table area and negotiation hall. The second floor, which features windows and office corridors, resulted in a blurry spatial boundary. To overcome this, Ouyang used a metal cell structure to serialize the area and form a transparent space of both void and solid.
