Caishi China Railway City: A Blend of Tradition and Modernity

Tengyuan Design's Neo-Chinese Residential Area Wins Silver A' Design Award

In the bustling city of Jinan, a new residential area stands out for its unique blend of traditional Chinese architecture and modern design elements. The Caishi China Railway City, designed by Tengyuan Design, is a testament to the harmonious coexistence of tradition and modernity.

The design of the Caishi China Railway City was inspired by the architectural form, element symbol, and material color of Jinan. Tengyuan Design has successfully extracted these elements and incorporated them into the design, creating a peaceful and life-rich dwelling. The color scheme is simple and peaceful, highlighting the characteristics of a serene dwelling.

What sets this project apart is its neo-Chinese architectural style. It not only embodies the elegance, subtlety, and dignity of the orient but also incorporates the modernist architectural style where function determines form. The design reinterprets the national context, ritual order, and oriental verve of royal architecture using a fashionable and simple design language. This is complemented by the western mark of stone carving, presenting a charming blend of eastern and western styles.

The project uses state-of-the-art technology to provide consumers with a brand-new living experience. The air conditioning system independently controls the indoor environment from three aspects: air quality, temperature, and humidity. It effectively filters PM2.5 and other dust pollution in the air, reduces the concentration of indoor VOC, and provides continuous fresh air indoors.

The design principle of the project respects the elevation of the current site, fully combining the current topography with site design and building layout. It avoids large terrain reconstruction and maintains the stable form of the site. The design pays attention to the use of the site terrain according to the current situation of the terrain, better playing the natural preservation, natural infiltration, and natural purification functions of a sponge city.

The project started on February 10, 2017, in Jinan and was completed on July 14, 2018. The design was based on the sense of order, elegance, and significance of classical architecture, and the architectural image suitable for this project was concluded. The project overcame creative, technical, and research challenges, including the design of a low-rise residential product with an underground household type independent closed garage.

The Caishi China Railway City was awarded Silver in A' Architecture, Building, and Structure Design Award in 2020. The award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
