Jinzhong Kylin Mansion Hushan: A Poetic East Art Gallery

Integrating Chinese Aesthetics with Modern Architecture

Jinzhong Kylin Mansion Hushan Art Gallery, designed by Yang Yuan, boldly combines Chinese aesthetics with modern architectural techniques. This unique art gallery aims to inject grace and elegance into the modern lifestyle, using the ancient simplicity and calm demeanor of Oriental aesthetics.

A book-house-themed club with a high degree of forward-looking and artistic characteristics, Jinzhong Kylin Mansion Hushan Art Gallery stands out from existing Eastern expressions in the market. By seamlessly transforming between the renunciation of the world and the naturalization of the body, the theme of "Poetic East" reflects the designer's commitment to inheriting previous achievements and creating beauty beyond space.

The art gallery covers a total of 650 square meters and breaks the sense of stasis between regional transitions. It eliminates blockage and closure, blurring the definition of different functional areas. This creates a necessary sense of leisure and relaxation for the club, connecting most spaces and providing a seamless experience.

The design of Jinzhong Kylin Mansion Hushan Art Gallery incorporates various elements to create a poetic space. The display wall outside the book bar is filled with art, introducing a fragrance of books into the room. A thin wooden fence acts as a partition, continuing the external space into the interior. The texture of the carpet and the fine wooden fence seamlessly blend together, expanding the depth of the space visually.

The stone floor with a rippled pattern fully showcases the poetic space of "feelings beyond space." Although there is no water in the scene, the imagined waves create a sense of silence, similar to a Japanese rock garden. Every corner of the art gallery holds infinite beauty, allowing visitors to experience the essence of life.

The designer's unique understanding of light and shadow is evident throughout the art gallery. From the barbed wires and fine wooden fences in the corridor to the interweaving of light and shadow with fake pines in the banquet hall, delicateness and dim beauty are present. Taking a stroll through the gallery feels like walking along the long river of history, experiencing the heritage of Chinese civilization.

The Jinzhong Kylin Mansion Hushan Art Gallery was designed with the future transformation into a book bar theme club in mind. The flowing space theory by Smith Van Der Rohe was referenced to minimize the partition of blocking spaces. Instead of dividing the space into independent individuals according to functions, it is simply and necessarily divided, emphasizing the comfortable and tranquil nature of Eastern life.

The Jinzhong Kylin Mansion Hushan Art Gallery, designed by Yang Yuan, received the Iron A' Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. With its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, the art gallery provides fulfillment and positive feelings, contributing to a better world.
