The Krakowski Salon Sztuki Exhibition Catalogue is a unique publication that showcases the artworks and artists featured in the first edition of the Krakow Art Salon in 2018. Designed by Aleksandra Toborowicz, this catalogue stands out with its innovative approach to presenting diverse artworks.
One of the key strengths of this catalogue is its adaptability. Each spread features a slightly different layout, carefully tailored to accommodate the form and number of artworks being presented. This dynamic design ensures that each artist's work is given the attention it deserves, while maintaining a cohesive visual experience for the reader.
The catalogue's cover is hardbound, made from canvas Cialux 1581, and features blind stamping and screen printing. The use of Antalis Cosmo Pink 120 g/m2 paper adds a touch of vibrancy to the design. Inside, Sora Matt 120 g/m2 paper is used for the pages, providing a smooth and high-quality reading experience.
With a total of 288 pages, the catalogue offers a comprehensive overview of the artworks exhibited at the Krakowski Salon Sztuki. The format of 210 x 265 mm allows for easy handling and navigation through the pages. The ISBN number 978-83-65270-35-1 ensures that this catalogue can be easily identified and referenced.
The design of the catalogue was realized using offset printing with a 4+4 color scheme. This printing technique ensures that the colors and details of the artworks are accurately reproduced, capturing the essence of each piece.
Creating this Exhibition Catalogue posed several challenges for the designer. The diversity of artworks, with their different formats and aesthetics, required careful consideration to ensure that each piece was presented in the most effective way. Additionally, the varying lengths of artist biographies and differences in the format, aesthetics, and colors of portrait photos had to be harmoniously incorporated into the design.
The Krakowski Salon Sztuki Exhibition Catalogue is a testament to the power of design in showcasing and celebrating art. Through its unique layout, adaptability, and attention to detail, this catalogue provides a comprehensive and visually engaging experience for art enthusiasts and collectors alike.
