Supernova Art Embassy's Climbing Tower Transforms an Old Water Tower into a Symbol of Growth

The Wisdom Path is a bright, dominating structure located in the Management Workshop, a training ground for young executives and managers. Upon completion of their studies, these young professionals perform a ceremonial climb to the top of the tower, symbolizing the accumulation of experience and wisdom. The tower's spiral movement is a representation of this process, with the highest point symbolizing the transformation of life experience into the stone of wisdom.

The design of the Wisdom Path is unique in its use of the ex-water tower. The tower was cleaned, primed, and painted white, before being artistically painted with a gradient from green at the bottom to blue at the top. The painting process was done using aerosol spray paint, and the old doors and windows of the tower were replaced. The work was carried out using trucks with aerial devices and safety gear.

Despite the challenges presented by the tower's cylindrical shape, the Supernova Art Embassy team was able to create a comprehensive and integral plot that reflects the new function of the tower. The gradient of the staircase spiral, the slightly deformed characters, and the movement from the ground to the sky all contribute to the symbolism of growth and achievement.

The Wisdom Path project began in April 2019 and was presented at the Youth Forum on June 10, 2019, at the Senezh Management Workshop in Solnechnogorsk town near Moscow. The project took 10 days to complete, including all preparatory work. The tower is now a full-scale climbing wall and a significant art object reflecting the meaning of its new function.

For its innovative design and symbolism, the Wisdom Path was awarded Silver in A' Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise, innovation, and artistic skill. The Wisdom Path is indeed a testament to the creativity and technical prowess of the Supernova Art Embassy.
