DoReDo: A Luxury Industrial Chic Salon

Creating a Unique Identity Inspired by Airport Retail Experience

One of the most striking elements of DoReDo is the use of a vibrant coral color. This pop of color not only adds a touch of luxury and beauty to the space but also sets it apart from other salons. The coral is predominantly featured in the arches of the retail courtyard, which serves as the hub of DoReDo. No matter where you are in the salon, you must pass through this coral arched courtyard, creating a cohesive and visually stunning experience.

The design of DoReDo utilizes a variety of materials to enhance its luxury industrial chic aesthetic. Wood-framed arches, painted galvanized iron AC ducts, wooden flooring, and gray slate finished vitrified flooring all contribute to the overall ambiance of the salon. Full-length self-lit mirrored consoles, veneered furniture, ceiling-suspended MS frame storage racks, LED spotlights, glass chandeliers, brass lamp shades, wallpapers, and printed vinyl wall art add the finishing touches to this stylish space.

DoReDo was designed with the intention of fostering interaction and creating a sense of community among its users. The inspiration from airport retail experiences translates into a user-friendly and simplified layout that encourages engagement. The salon encompasses a beauty clinic, spa, yoga studio, and a little café, providing a comprehensive wellness experience for its clients.

The design and aesthetic process for DoReDo involved extensive research into existing retail spaces around the world that prioritize user-friendly experiences. This research, combined with the creative vision of Gautam Desai and his team, resulted in a salon that stands out from the crowd.

Despite the challenges of assembling research, design, and aesthetics within a tight budget and strict timeline, the team successfully delivered the project to the owner. The interior fit-out of DoReDo began in January 2019 and was completed in April 2019.

DoReDo has received recognition for its exceptional design. In 2020, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements while integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics.
