Zanotti: A Revolution in Bakery Design

Flussocreativo Design Studio's Innovative Approach to Bakery Interiors

Flussocreativo Design Studio, led by designers Gianfranco Di Costanzo and Daniel Facchetti, drew inspiration from the client's desire to emphasize the warm and enveloping color of bread. The result is a combination of finishes and surfaces tending towards white, creating a stark contrast that highlights the bakery's main product.

Zanotti's unique design is characterized by its spiky counter, divided into three segments, each designed for a specific use. The bar area with attached tables for breakfast, the pastry area for brunch and snacks, and finally, the bakery for lunches and takeaway bread. This division of space not only facilitates functionality but also adds to the aesthetic appeal of the bakery.

Adding to the uniqueness of the design is an elegant golden frame, studied in parallel with the counter. This frame detaches from the wall, creating invisible surfaces to which signs defining the different areas of the bakery are hooked. This element, reminiscent of nature, further enhances the bakery's aesthetic appeal.

The project, which started in March 2017 and was completed in August 2017, involved a complete renovation of the building. The challenge was to execute this concentrated intervention in just two months, involving complete plant engineering and specialized craftsmen with bespoke furnishings and executive works.

Despite the challenges, the project was a success, earning the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. Zanotti's design, admired for its strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcases a remarkable level of excellence and introduces positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
