Smart Cleaner: Revolutionizing Public Hygiene

Award-Winning Outdoor Disinfectant Dispenser by Jaroslaw Markowicz

With the advent of the Smart Cleaner, an outdoor disinfectant dispenser, public hygiene is set to be revolutionized. Designed by Jaroslaw Markowicz, this innovative solution addresses the need for proper hand disinfection in public spaces, a concern that has become even more relevant in the current global health climate.

Markowicz drew inspiration from the challenges of maintaining hygiene in public spaces. The lack of options for proper hand disinfection when away from home led to the conception of the Smart Cleaner. The design of the device is simple, durable, and unique, with a nod to the Tesla Cybertruck for its similar innovative approach.

What sets the Smart Cleaner apart from other dispensers is its autonomy. Unlike other dispensers that require batteries or a power socket, the Smart Cleaner is powered by solar energy. Its casing is robust, weather-resistant and designed for outdoor use, making it a unique offering in the market.

The Smart Cleaner is made entirely of stainless steel, ensuring durability and ease of cleaning. The photovoltaic panel powers all dispenser functions, making it an autonomous and eco-friendly product. With dimensions of 1150 x 360 x 360mm, it is designed to be unobtrusive in public spaces.

The dispenser operates autonomously, powered by a photovoltaic panel. Energy produced is stored in an internal battery, and the dispenser functions can be managed via a mobile application. Municipal services can monitor the current state of the fluid or the filling of the basket, and the liquid is dispensed once the sensor detects a hand.

The Smart Cleaner project was developed in Warsaw, with intensive work beginning at the end of February. Despite several prototypes and challenges, the final product was ready for sale within a month. The main challenge was creating an intelligent energy management system that allowed a small solar panel to power several functions simultaneously.

The Smart Cleaner has been recognized for its innovative design and functionality, winning the Golden A' Street and City Furniture Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is granted to outstanding creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom, significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
